Why Saraburi Counsel

The Advantages of a
Considered Practice

Engaging the right legal counsel for an inheritance matter is a decision that shapes the outcome for every member of the family. Here is what we bring to that responsibility.

What Sets Our Practice Apart

Six qualities that define the way Saraburi Counsel approaches every matter we undertake.

Specialist Expertise

Inheritance and estate law is our sole area of practice. This narrow focus means that every member of our team carries deep familiarity with the Civil and Commercial Code provisions that govern succession, as well as the procedural requirements of the Thai probate courts.

English-Language Service

All client communications, written summaries, and engagement letters are prepared in clear English. Families who do not read Thai are never left to rely on informal translations of critical legal documents.

Cross-Jurisdiction Coordination

When an estate includes assets in more than one country, we coordinate directly with foreign counsel. We do not ask clients to manage this communication themselves — we take responsibility for the full picture.

Transparent, Fixed Fees

Our service fees are disclosed in full before any engagement begins. We do not charge for preparatory conversations, and the scope of each engagement is set out in writing so that families know precisely what they have agreed to.

Respectful Pacing

We do not pressure families to move faster than circumstances allow. Inheritance matters often arise during periods of grief. We structure our engagements to accommodate the emotional reality of those situations.

Strict Confidentiality

Every detail shared with our practice — about the estate, the family, or the circumstances of the deceased — is held in strict confidence. We treat professional confidentiality as an obligation, not a courtesy.

Professional Expertise in Thai Inheritance Law

The legal framework governing inheritance in Thailand runs across multiple books of the Civil and Commercial Code and intersects with land law, condominium law, and in many cases with foreign succession regimes. A practice that handles these matters regularly is better positioned to navigate them efficiently than one approaching them occasionally.

  • Over fifteen years of practice in Thai succession matters
  • Formal qualifications held by all counsel members
  • Regular appearances in Saraburi Provincial Court
  • Working knowledge of foreign succession frameworks

"Inheritance law is not merely a set of forms to complete. It is a process of establishing, clearly and legally, who is entitled to what — and doing so in a way that holds. We approach each matter with the seriousness that requires."

— Prapai Charoenwong, Senior Counsel

Our Process in Four Stages

  1. 1.Initial consultation — we establish the full picture of the estate and advise on the appropriate course of action.
  2. 2.Written engagement — scope, fees, and timeline are set out in writing before any work proceeds.
  3. 3.Conduct of the matter — we manage court filings, creditor notices, and third-party coordination directly.
  4. 4.Completion and handover — the estate is distributed, documents are finalised, and a written record is provided.

A Structured, Well-Paced Process

Every engagement follows a consistent four-stage process that keeps families informed, sets expectations honestly, and avoids the ad hoc handling that can extend timelines unnecessarily. We do not begin work before agreeing what the work involves.

Transparent Value, No Hidden Costs

Our fees are set in Thai baht and disclosed fully at the outset of each engagement. There are no billable hours accumulating in the background. The fee for a will drafting consultation is ฿2,300. Probate petition and conduct starts at ฿8,900. Complex estate administration begins at ฿10,400. If additional work arises beyond the agreed scope, we discuss this with you before proceeding — not after.

  • Fixed fees disclosed before engagement begins
  • No hourly billing or surprise additions
  • Written engagement letter for every matter

Distinctive Features of Our Practice

Written Session Summaries

Every will drafting consultation concludes with a written summary tailored to the client's circumstances. This document can be shared with family members, financial advisers, or foreign counsel as needed.

Established Foreign Counsel Network

We maintain working relationships with legal practitioners in the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, and Singapore — the countries most frequently involved in the cross-border estates we handle.

No-Pressure Initial Enquiries

We do not treat initial enquiries as a sales process. Families may speak with us to understand their situation without any expectation of proceeding to a formal engagement.

Provincial Court Experience

Based in Saraburi, we work regularly in the provincial courts of Saraburi, Lopburi, and Nakhon Ratchasima — courts where many Bangkok-based firms have limited presence or practical familiarity.
